Pikes Peak Fallen Officers' Memorial Ride

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out and braved the weather during the 2010 Pikes Peak Fallen Officers Memorial Ride!!!
Keep checking back here or on Facebook for details on the 2011 ride.

The 2010 ride was approximately 125 miles of beautiful scenery, taking you through the Black Forest and Perry Park areas of Colorado, primarily on 2-lane highways!  Be sure to join us at the conclusion of the ride for the prizes, raffle, auction, ...!!!

On February 22, 2006 Colorado Springs Police Detective Jared Jensen was killed in the line of duty.  Many of his fellow officers had never experienced the death of one of their own as it had been over 23 years since a Colorado Springs Police Officer died in the line of duty.

A few of Jared's fellow officers wanted to do something to ensure this tragedy would never be forgotten, and the Jared Jensen Memorial Poker Run was born.  On June 18, 2006 the Jared Jensen Memorial Poker Run was held.  This event brought hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts and law enforcement supporters together from throughout the Pikes Peak Region and was a huge success.

On December 5, 2006 tragedy once again struck the Colorado Springs Police Department and the entire community when Officer Ken Jordan was killed in the line of duty.  After this incident a decision was made to rename the event the Pikes Peak Fallen Officers' Memorial Run, to honor all of our fellow officers who gave their lives protecting their communities.
